Wi-Fi calling can be a very useful and effective feature that will save you money on phone calls. This article will help you make the most of Wi-Fi calling.
We have provided step-by-step instructions for activating this feature and fixing any problems that might arise.
How does Sky Mobile Wi Fi calling work?
Wi-Fi calling lets you make calls via the internet. Your calls will be free. Unlimited calls and texts are included with Wi-Fi calling. Standard calls and texts rates will apply if you choose the Pay As You Go option. Keep in mind that calls and texts made via Wi-Fi calling will not be shown differently on your phone bill.
Wi-Fi calling uses Wi-Fi connections, so it will not affect the data allowance for the Sky plan that you have chosen. However, it could count towards your bandwidth provider’s usage limit. Wi-Fi calling can still be a viable option as it doesn’t consume too much data. A call lasting for half an hour, for example, will take between 7-10 MB to 10 MB.

Sky Mobile Wi Fi Phone Feature: Issues
Wi-Fi calling can cause some problems for users. Poor call quality, frequent dropouts and other problems are the most common issues. These problems are directly related to Wi-Fi signal. These problems can be solved by addressing your internet issues.
If your call drops suddenly, it’s possible that you were moved out of Wi-Fi range during your call. You can fix this issue by moving closer to your router. Another reason calls may drop suddenly is the loss of Wi-Fi connection. Restart your router to try again if this happens.
You can restart your router by simply unplugging it from the power supply. After the router turns on, you can plug it back into the power source. Allow your router to return to normal for a few more minutes before making another call.
Additionally, if too many households are using the broadband simultaneously, the signal may become weaker during calls. It is important to check whether anyone is using more bandwidth.
These tasks include streaming online, downloading large files, and gaming online. If this is the case, wait until they are done before you try to make another call.
Switching between Wi-Fi hotspots can cause call quality to drop or worsen. Be aware of this the next time that you leave the house or move around while talking. You’ll be able call back as soon as your phone switches to one Wi Fi hotspot.
