How to Scan a Document on Computer?
You can scan documents and photos with the Windows Fax and Scan utility. A scanner must be mounted on your computer before you can scan documents and photos. In the Devices section of the Devices and Printers Control Panel window, your scanner must be identified.
Select StartAll ProgramsWindows Fax and Scan from the Start menu.
The Windows Fax and Scan window appear in Windows 7.
In the Navigation pane, press the Scan button, then on the toolbar, click the New Scan button.
Your scanner’s New Scan dialogue box appears.
To explain your scan, use the options on the right.
Allowing Windows Fax and Scan to know what you’re scanning, the color profile, and the sort of file you want to make allows it to produce the best possible scan.
To see how your document will look, click the Preview button.
Make some last-minute adjustments.
Click the Scan button when you’re satisfied with the preview.
Windows scans the document and displays a picture of the document to you.
Complete the required details and click the Save As button.
Click the Save button after entering the filename and the type of graphics file you want to save.
