Before you do anything else, download the My Spectrum App via the Google Play Store. This app lets you control your home Wi-Fi network remotely using your smartphone.

This is the easiest and most convenient method to control Wi-Fi access. Follow these steps to activate automatic switching on:

  • Start the My Spectrum App. To sign in, use your Spectrum username to create a password. Tap on if you don’t have a username or password. Create a username.
  • Follow the prompts to access the app by entering either your phone number or your email address. These are the guidelines for Spectrum usernames.
  • If everything is set up properly, then you can proceed to the Services Tab from the app’s home screen.
  •  Next, under the internet tab, select Devices.
  • Click on the name of your router. Below device details, Choose create a pause schedule.
  • You can set the time limits according to your preference. Your Wi-Fi will now go off at the time you have set.

Wi-Fi devices can be controlled under the connected devices tab. This way, you do not need to turn off Wi Fi if certain devices are not using your Wi Fi.

The same settings can be used to permanently block access to the Wi-Fi connection by other devices. You can also schedule a time for each device that connects to your network.
