It is System Administrator Day, also known as SysAdmin Day, which occurs on the last Friday of July every year, a day that your IT department secretly hopes you will remember. Signeasy is the ideal present for you to express your appreciation.
Regardless of the industry in which you work, System Administrators are frequently the unsung heroes of every organisation.
In the middle of the night, while the office is sleeping, they schedule upgrades and security checks to run. They also geek out on the latest software so you don’t have to; they install your office gear; and they uncover seemingly impossible answers to an ever-expanding business website.
Every aspect of network technology, from routers to RAM to radio frequencies, as well as memory caches, connections, and network topologies is understood by these professionals.
System Administrators are there for you when you can’t remember how the multimedia system works just as a key client conference is about to begin, or when your gadget decides to freeze on you or – even worse – displays the Blue Screen of Death on your computer screen.
SysAdmin Day is a day to acknowledge that IT employees have feelings as well.
One of these unsung heroes, Ted Kekatos, a Systems Engineer in Chicago, was inspired by a Hewlett Packard advertisement that showed gifts being presented to the IT team for installing the most recent HP printer model. He founded System Administrator Day, also known as SysAdmin Day, in honour of these unsung heroes.
A lightbulb moment occurred to Ted the Techie, who ripped out the advertisement and displayed it in his office to demonstrate what a well-appreciated information technology workforce could look like as an extension of Administrative Professionals Day (previously known as Secretary’s Day).
The day was originally observed in 2000, and since then it has grown into a worldwide movement of people. As the day draws closer, IT departments all throughout Silicon Valley become weak in the knees with excitement.
Russia, for whatever reason, has gone all out for SysAdmin Day, erecting tented tech cities across the country for an entire weekend of celebrations that include live music and – we guess – alcohol.
Signeasy electronic signatures are available. Admin Day Small Banner Cake for SysAdmin Day
SysAdmin Day gives you a whole 24 hours to show your appreciation for your colleagues. When it comes to giving gifts, cake and ice cream are the most popular options, although we would never advise you to forego these delectable sweets, the staff at Signeasy recommends going that extra step further.
The one secret that System Administrators do not want you to be aware of
This is the truth: most System Administrators secretly dislike paper, and they groan every time another dated file folder is sneaked into the office or taken out of the stationary closet.
Even after all of their encryption efforts to protect data electronically, they shiver at the notion of physical confidential material becoming misplaced or drifting through the neighbourhood streets.
Signeasy is the perfect solution if you want to send your System Administrators a truly thoughtful present.
Signeasy is a simple way to express gratitude.
Signeasy works with a wide range of documents – including PDFs – to request, send, collect, collaborate, share, and securely store electronic signatures, as well as to interact with others and exchange documents.
Consider the following: less paper, encrypted data, and the safe and secure collecting and storage of every critical signed document you require, all through the use of electronic means.
Following your registration, Signeasy is a simple tool to use that relieves the IT staff of a significant portion of the data protection and secure cloud storage responsibilities that would otherwise fall on them.
Despite the fact that Signeasy is Apple’s approved electronic signature app, it has even appeared in an iPhone commercial!
It is possible for you to actually minimise the workload of the IT department, all the while providing them with peace of mind – how cool is that?!
Dropbox, Google Drive, Gmail, Evernote, and Zoho CRM are just a few of the major day-to-day programmes that Signeasy integrates with.
Why not give Signeasy a try for free for 15 days with no strings attached?
Use the hashtag #SysAdminDay to express gratitude to your office’s IT staff on Twitter.
While you’re at it, why not send an electronic greeting card? (In all seriousness, a paper one could cause the entire IT team to break out in hives.)
