How to Bypass The Xfinity WiFi Pause? (4 Steps)

Xfinity WiFi users are likely to be familiar with its ‘pause’ feature. Sometimes, this can be a good thing and allow you to take control.

Sometimes it can be frustrating and you decide to ignore the pause and continue browsing gaming, or shopping, whatever you enjoy most.

We’ll now look at how to get around the pause button and continue our day.

What does Xfinity Wi-Fi pause do?

Let’s first take a look at what Xfinity WiFi pause does.

  • You can pause WiFi performance for multiple in-home routers. The Xfinity WiFi pause allows you to freeze your internet connection on several devices or one device.
  • WiFi pause allows internet users to set a time before routines such as getting ready for bed or keeping their homework distraction-free.

To use the Xfinity WiFi pause feature, your home must be set up correctly as a Family WiFi Group.

How to apply Xfinity WiFi Pause

There are many reasons you might want to use the Xfinity WiFi pause feature:

  • You may want to suspend a selected group of devices from your network using Google Family. This can be done using the Google Home app, Google WiFi Application, or Google Assistant.
  • Alternatively, you may want to stop a specific device. This can only be done using the Google Wi-Fi app. The device can’t be used to access the internet after you have initiated the pause function.
  • You can select a time with the Xfinity WiFi pause feature. A setup can be created for future schedules. It can coincide with the user’s bedtime or a dedicated time to do homework.

How to bypass the Xfinity WiFi Pause

Your Xfinity WiFi Connect section shows you which devices have been paused, and are not able to access the Internet.

Parents who place restrictions on browsing can frustrate children. Sometimes, it can be difficult for elders to reverse the pause.

Let’s take a look at how you can get rid of it quickly and avoid the Xfinity WiFi pause.

1. Make the Connection

Before you bypass the WiFi pause imposed by your Xfinity device, make sure to get a cable for your phone to connect it with your computer.

You must have Android installed on the device. You will need to use another method to bypass Apple devices.

2. Check Your MAC Address.

Check your MAC address.

The MAC address locates “nametag”, which connects to the internet. After a few minutes, it will be blocked.

This action can block certain MAC addresses (i.e. the one you are currently using).

3. Mask Your MAC Address

This can be circumvented by instantly spoofing the MAC address of your device.

Once you have done this, your device will be able to connect without any problems.

4. Technitium Mac Address Converter:

Along the way, you will need to install the Technitium Mac Address Changer using this link

After completing the installation, you will need to answer some connection questions regarding your mode of connection. You have two options.

First: WiFi

  • Let’s say your WiFi device is stalled. Select WiFi.
  • Next, go to Random Mac address. After that, wait for 2 minutes.
  • Depending on your internet speed, the result should be visible immediately. Normally, it takes five seconds.

Second: Ethernet

Except for the lookout to the WiFi option, the steps are identical for the Ethernet

Your Xfinity WiFi pause should not be missed after you have completed the final step.

It is possible to check the status by going to the status. This should read “Connected and Secured” rather than “Not Connected or Secured”, which was the message that was displayed when your device was blocked by Xfinity WiFi pause.
